In the beginning of 2024, JLL conducted a survey among the largest and most active professional real estate investors in Switzerland for the sixth consecutive year to empirically determine their expectations for 2024. Relevant acquisition managers were surveyed to obtain an opinion as close to the market as possible.

The results show the intended behaviour of the majority of active investors in the current market environment. Questions on individual market assessments regarding interest rates and inflation, acquisition behaviour and supply trends, willingness to pay and currently favoured real estate investments are core topics of the survey.

«With 129 participating investors holding more than CHF 300 billion of Swiss real estate, the survey is once again very representative. Sentiment has brightened compared to the previous year and the market appears to have got used to the new interest rate environment. There are signs of returning transaction dynamics.»
