Compared to the previous year, room occupancy increased in 2023 in both Geneva (+12%) and Zurich (+14%). With an occupancy rate of 74.8% (source: STR), Zurich thus reached the level of 2019, with Geneva’s occupancy rate of 64.8% still below the pre-corona level (2019 = 71.4%). In 2023, room rates in Geneva were 2% higher than in 2019, and in Zurich an increase of 14% was registered. These developments led to a strong increase in RevPar in Zurich.
