Strengthening & Expansion in French-speaking Switzerland

JLL has appointed Sophie Carliez to lead the business development of the transactional services in its Geneva office. In her new role, Mrs. Carliez will be responsible for the commercial letting as well as the tenant representation business in French-speaking Switzerland. 

Mrs. Carliez, MRICS, holds a MBA in Finance and Administration as well as a MASTER in Marketing and offers 14 years of experience in advising Swiss and international corporate clients in real estate-related questions. She brings extensive expertise in connection with the local markets, contract negotiations, innovative rental and financing models as well as strategic advisory for occupier and real estate clients. After more than 10 years at SPG Intercity in Geneva as a Director for French-speaking Switzerland and before joining JLL, Mrs. Carliez was the Head of Real Estate Advisory Services in Western Switzerland at Deloitte, one of the leading global audit and consulting company (“Big 4”). 

The appointment of Sophie Carliez marks a continuation of the dynamic growth of JLL’s operations in French-speaking Switzerland. In line with the expanding business activity, JLL is steadily increasing its domestic footprint in the Leasing team as well in the other business lines. In addition to Sophie Carliez, JLL has hired three dedicated professionals under the lead of Olivier Metzenthin in Geneva’s Transaction Management team in recent months in order to meet the growing needs for real estate corporate finance and transaction services in the region. JLL Switzerland now employs a total of about 15 real estate advisors in the Geneva office and accounts about 45 professionals in Switzerland.
