JLL strengthens funds advisory capabilities
JLL has made two senior appointments in its Global Funds Advisory team to strengthen its capital raising and investment advisory capabilities.
Georg Frauboes joins as a director and is based in London, while Eugene Kim also joins as a director and is based in Singapore. In their roles, they will be responsible for underwriting investment opportunities and managing the capital raising process in their respective regions.
The appointments support JLL's strategy of offering a broader range of services to investor clients worldwide to complement its market-leading investment sales and acquisitions business. The Global Funds Advisory team, led by Matilde Attolico in London, works with investment managers across the world to provide support and strategic counsel on product development and capital raising for real estate investment opportunities.
"The creation of the team last year was driven in part by the recognition that the largest investors around the world demand more tailored solutions to meet their needs. We're delighted to have attracted talents like Georg and Eugene to join our growing team, enabling us to deliver this type of added value for our clients. It underscores our focus on bringing best in class products to market and delivering seamless execution," says Ms Attolico, Head of Global Funds Advisory, JLL.
Mr Frauboes joins JLL from UBS Asset Management, where he worked alongside regional teams, underwriting real estate funds globally on behalf of UBS Multi-Manager Real Estate clients. In his new role, he reports to Ms Attolico.
Mr Kim joins from Canada's Brookfield Asset Management. Most recently he was a member of its product development and strategy group, creating investment strategies and vehicles across real estate, infrastructure and private equity. Prior to that he worked in real estate investment banking in Brookfield's global advisory business. Mr Kim reports to Martijn van Eldik, JLL's head of Funds Advisory in Asia Pacific.
Martijn van Eldik says: "As we grow our credentials in fund underwriting, advising on product development and equity capital raising for indirect real estate transactions, I'm confident we are uniquely positioned to support clients across the full scope of their global real estate investment needs. We continue to work together as a global team to bring the best indirect strategies to the global investor market and collaborate with colleagues across our business to offer our clients a powerful suite of services including debt capital, corporate finance and M&A advisory."
The Global Funds Advisory team was created in July 2017 with the amalgamation of existing funds advisory capabilities and the appointments of Ms Attolico as head of the team, and Zeynep Fetvaci as a director. Mr van Eldik joined to lead its Asia Pacific arm in October 2017.
