Large-scale project «Green Village» in Geneva is becoming reality

JLL appointed as exclusive marketing partner for office space.

September 18, 2018

The World Council of Churches (WCC) announced to start the construction of its large-scale development project Green Village with Implenia as lead developer and JLL as exclusive marketing partner for the first phase of the project.

The Green Village will become a new office hub for companies and organizations around the restored and renovated Ecumenical Centre in the heart of Geneva’s international district. The hub will consist of six separate office buildings meeting highest sustainability standards with a total of 43,000 m² of office space for rent as well as an apartment-hotel and a residential building. While the buildings are independent, attractive green meeting places will encourage each organization or company to play a part in the life of the site.

Ecological principles and sustainable development will be main features of this project. At the official presentation of the project, WCC general secretary Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit announced that the Green Village buildings will be named after cities in which major protocols and declarations have been defined at UN environmental conferences.

JLL is mandated as exclusive leasing agent of the building KYOTO which will be built in the first phase of the project. The KYOTO property comprises around 14,000 m² of office space, divisible in floor plates of around 280 m². JLL's consulting services include continuous market analysis, conception and implementation of individual marketing strategies, active approach and support of potential tenants, presentations and site visits, preparation of rental offerings and negotiation of rental agreements.
