Jan is responsible for the overall business as well as setting the strategic direction of JLL Switzerland. At the same time, he remains heavily involved in the daily business by leading various advisory mandates.
Jan has over 25 years’ experience in the real estate business.
He started his professional career in 1991 with Arthur Andersen in the audit and advisory division. In 1997, he founded as Partner Andersen Real Estate in Switzerland. Jan later moved with his team to Ernst & Young where he developed the practice into one of the most successful and reputable real estate advisory groups in Switzerland. In December 2005, the team transferred to Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. Corporate Finance (Switzerland) and in February 2011 to Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL). Jan has been the CEO of JLL Switzerland since its founding in February 2011.
In his career, Jan has successfully advised in real estate transactions totalling over CHF 25 billion. He has also been responsible for some of the biggest single asset deals in Switzerland. Jan continues to lead various advisory mandates in transaction management and other business lines and supervises some large valuation & leasing mandates.
Jan graduated with a degree in business administration from the HWV Zurich in 1991. In 1997, he became a certified public accountant (CPA) and in 1999, he received an additional degree as Real Estate Economist from the European Business School (ebs).
